| COMMENTARY |
OKW Aliage embodies
the beauty, grace, and intelligence of both his famous sire line, featuring
Negatraz and *Bask, and his superb dam line, which includes daughters
of *Aladdinn, *Bandos, and Comet. Aliage is one of the few Negatraz sons
still breeding today.
Aliage's dam, OKW Alicja, was a beautiful grey mare sired by National
Champion *Aladdinn. OKW Alicja was later sold to Dr. Faria of Brazil,
and within a few years was listed as one of Brazil's leading producers.
Alicja's dam, *Ekspresja, was imported to the United States from Poland.
An ethereal grey, *Ekspresja was highly regarded as one of *Bandos' most
beautiful and elegant daughters. A former star of the Nichols-Delongpre
auctions, *Ekspresja sold for $325,000. *Ekspresja's mother was the lovely
*Elegia, by the Polish foundation Stallion, Comet.
OKW Aliage was born in 1990 at Oakwerth Arabians in Woodinville, Washington.
His current trainer, George Z, was the resident trainer at Oakwerth at
the time, and actually delivered Aliage. George also trained Aliage for
the show ring. Under George's training, Aliage won consistently in Purebred
Halter and in Purebred Country English Pleasure. |
