Three Year Old Colts

The three year old colt class was very lightly entered as most three year olds are at the race track.

The winner of the class was ENALEJ (Emigrant X Enona by Fawor) bred by Jerzy Nejman & Beata Dzikowska. The private breeders of Poland are putting forth better and better horses. They have access to the stallions from the State Studs at very reasonable prices. It is one of the services that the government provides to the people of Poland and certainly the private breeders take advantage of it.

Just like in the US Scored Halter system, the Champion is selected by the judges on the basis of preference not on the basis of score. The three class winners (yearling, two and three year olds) were shown against each other. Unlike the US the horses are not posed in a neck high position, the are stood up in a more neutral neck set without attempting to force them high and tight.

Here KABSZTAD (Poganin X Kwestura by Monogramm) the two year old winner poses for the judges.

KABSZTAD was named Junior Champion Stallion of Poland and was definitely excited with his win.
