Poland
has reason to celebrate over the most recent Scottsdale success at
the 50th anniversary show. Several horses in both halter and
performance achieved recognition for the world's most successful
breeding program.
Taking
home the most prestigious honors was
Michalow with four winners,
including the magnificent
*EGZONERA
- unanimous winner of the Aged Mare Class. Following in the
footsteps of World, All Nations Cup and US National Champion
*ZAGROBLA,
*EGZONERA went on to be named
Scottsdale Reserve Senior Champion Mare. This win was further
enhanced by the success of her son
*ERTE
JCA by *GAZAL AL SHAQAB,
bred by Michalow and imported in-utero by
Jade Creek Arabians, who
was named Top Ten Yearling Colt (4/15 to 7/31). A former Warsaw
Summer Show Supreme Champion and Polish Nationals High Score
winner,
*EGZONERA is on lease to
Jade Creek Arabians through 2005.
Two other Michalow-bred males
placed well amongst strong competition: the striking chestnut
*ESPERANTO, a former International Champion & Polish National
Reserve Champion now owned by Raymond Mazzei of Furioso Farm in
California, was Top Ten in the class for Aged Stallions. The
multi-talented
*EDYP, a former Polish Stakes contender now owned
by Marta Wasiak, placed third in Hunter Pleasure - Gentlemen to
Ride.
For Janow Podlaski, the multi-National winner
*PILASTER expanded
his range of talents into Western Pleasure, winning a strong Top
Ten in the Western Pleasure Championship for Limit Riders.
The breeding wisdom of all three
State Studs was also celebrated in the class for Aged Stallions
with a win by World Champion
*GAZAL AL SHAQAB, who stood for two
successful seasons on lease in Poland, siring such notables as
Polish National Champion
DRABANT and undefeated Triple Crown
winner
PIANISSIMA. In a strong field of stallions, *GAZAL AL SHAQAB
was named Scottsdale Reserve Champion Stallion.
Congratulations to both
Michalow and
Janow Podlaski and to all the
breeders for this continued success and for sharing their
brightest stars with the worldwide Arabian community.
