Polish Success at Scottsdale

Poland has reason to celebrate over the most recent Scottsdale success at the 50th anniversary show. Several horses in both halter and performance achieved recognition for the world's most successful breeding program.*EGZONERA -Scottsdale Reserve Senior Champion Mare

Taking home the most prestigious honors was
Michalow with four winners, including the magnificent *EGZONERA - unanimous winner of the Aged Mare Class. Following in the footsteps of World, All Nations Cup and US National Champion *ZAGROBLA, *EGZONERA went on to be named Scottsdale Reserve Senior Champion Mare. This win was further enhanced by the success of her son *ERTE JCA by *GAZAL AL SHAQAB, bred by Michalow and imported in-utero by Jade Creek Arabians, who was named Top Ten Yearling Colt (4/15 to 7/31). A former Warsaw Summer Show Supreme Champion and Polish Nationals High Score winner, *EGZONERA is on lease to Jade Creek Arabians through 2005.*ESPERANTO

Two other Michalow-bred males placed well amongst strong competition: the striking chestnut *ESPERANTO, a former International Champion & Polish National Reserve Champion now owned by Raymond Mazzei of Furioso Farm in California, was Top Ten in the class for Aged Stallions. The multi-talented *EDYP, a former Polish Stakes contender now owned by Marta Wasiak, placed third in Hunter Pleasure - Gentlemen to Ride.

For Janow Podlaski, the multi-National winner
*PILASTER expanded his range of talents into Western Pleasure, winning a strong Top Ten in the Western Pleasure Championship for Limit Riders.

The breeding wisdom of all three State Studs was also celebrated in the class for Aged Stallions with a win by World Champion *GAZAL AL SHAQAB -Scottsdale Reserve Senior Champion Stallion*GAZAL AL SHAQAB, who stood for two successful seasons on lease in Poland, siring such notables as Polish National Champion DRABANT and undefeated Triple Crown winner PIANISSIMA. In a strong field of stallions, *GAZAL AL SHAQAB was named Scottsdale Reserve Champion Stallion.

Congratulations to both
Michalow and Janow Podlaski and to all the breeders for this continued success and for sharing their brightest stars with the worldwide Arabian community.

POLISH ARABIAN HORSE DAYS 2005

Arabian Horse Days is Poland is the longest running and most prestigious multi-faceted international celebration of the The Clock Tower at Janow Podlaski Arabian horse in the world. Now well into its fourth decade, Arabian Horse Days began in 1970 with formal invitation of international guests to a late spring auction of select Arabian mares and stallions at Janow Podlaski. Over the years, breeding parades at each of the State Studs, the Polish National Show, a Silent Sale, International Race Day and several post sale tours of Poland have been added to the nearly week long activity-filled event. The 2005 gala promises to raise the standard yet again, building upon the unqualified success of last year’s festivities held in conjunction with the WAHO Congress, as Poland has assembled an exemplary selection of sale horses and further refined the schedule of activities and events.
We warmly invite you to attend Arabian Horse Days 2005.
